Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins’ newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 70-16 Northern Blvd. in the Queens neighborhood of Jackson Heights on Tuesday, November 11 as part of its grand reopening celebration.
Dunkin’ franchisee Patiwana/Shah Network commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to the Salvation Army Queens Temple Food Pantry, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. The Salvation Army Queens Temple Food Pantry offers bagged lunch and other food distribution services to the local Jackson Heights community.
“I’d like to express my deepest gratitude to Rajan Patiwana and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation on behalf of Queens Temple and the Salvation Army for this generous donation,” said Salvation Army Queens Temple Corps Officer Major Guillermo Di Caterina. “It is thanks to the generosity of the local community that we can continue to provide hot meals and grocery items for families within the Jackson Heights Community. On behalf of our entire team, we thank you!”
Representatives from the office of New York State Assemblyman Steven Raga; Representatives from the office of New York State Senator Jessica Ramos; and members of Queens Community Board 3 joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The morning featured the first 100 Dunkin’ Rewards members in line at 11 a.m. receiving one free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 consecutive days on the Dunkin’ App, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise and enjoyed a complimentary Dunkin’ photobooth.
The newly remodeled 2,400 square-foot Dunkin’ and Baskin-Robbins employs 20 crew members and is open 24 hours a day.
