Dunkin’ restaurant in Clinton celebrates grand opening with donation to Fisher House Foundation

Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly built next generation restaurant at 8914 Woodyard Road in Clinton on Thursday, October 23 as part of its grand opening celebration.

Dunkin’ franchisee Sachin Shah of BMD Management commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to the Fisher House Foundation at Joint Base Andrews, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. Fisher House provides an opportunity for families to stay together during the most crucial times – when a loved one is being treated for a serious injury or illness. They provide a safe, warm and compassionate home where families receive support and encouragement they need.

“We extent our sincerest thanks to Sachin Shah and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for their donation to Joint Base Andrews Fisher House, Inc,” said Joint Base Andrews Fisher House President Suzanne Curren. “Their generosity means everything to us and to the very special families we serve. Our organization supports the Fisher House located at Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, which opened its doors in 1994 and has proudly served thousands of military families for over 30 years. We put a lot of heart into everything we do and with your generous donation we can do even more in the upcoming holiday season by providing special meals and gifts to bless our guest families.”

The morning featured the first 100 people in line at 9 a.m. receiving a free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise, and enjoyed a complimentary Dunkin’ photobooth.

Representatives from the Prince George’s County Police Department and from the office of Prince George’s County Councilman Sydney J. Harrison joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The newly built, 1,200 square-foot Dunkin’ employs 15 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m.
