Members of the local community and Dunkin’ fans alike poured into Dunkin’s newly remodeled next generation restaurant at 655 Rossville Ave. in the Staten Island neighborhood of Rossville on Friday, October 24 as part of its grand reopening celebration.
Dunkin’ franchisee Neel Shah of The Shree Group commemorated the occasion with a $3,000 donation to the South Shore Community Food Pantry, in conjunction with the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation. The South Shore Community Food Pantry’s mission is to provide an uplifting experience through food, advice, and mental stability.
“Thank you to Neel Shah and the Dunkin’ Joy in Childhood Foundation for this generous donation,” said South Shore Community Food Pantry CEO and Founder Joe Preach. “These funds will go towards feeding those in need within the local community and will go a long way towards aiding our mission.”
The afternoon featured the first 100 people in line at 3 p.m. receiving a free medium hot or iced coffee for 100 days, while others spun the Dunkin’ prize wheel for free Dunkin’ merchandise, and enjoyed a complimentary Dunkin’ photobooth and Dunkin’ face painter.
New York City Councilman Frank Morano; Members of Staten Island Community Board 3; Representatives from the office of Staten Island Borough President Vito J. Fossella; and members of FDNY Engine 168 joined the celebration and participated in a commemorative ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The newly remodeled, 1,100 square-foot Dunkin’ employs 10 crew members and is open daily from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m.
