56th annual winter sports show, presented by Alpin Haus, will be held November 3-5 at the all-new Albany Capital Center with free parking

Tickets now on sale including new three-day value pass

ALBANY, NY; – The Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase, presented by Alpin Haus, will feature the latest ski and snowboard gear, winter apparel, free lift tickets and the popular craft beer garden at an all-new location, the Albany Capital Center, Friday, November 3 through Sunday, November 5.

The nation’s longest running consumer ski showcase, now in its 56th year, will make its debut at the Albany Capital Center on Friday, November 3 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The show will include newly extended hours on Saturday, November 4 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. and runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 5. The Albany Capital Center is located at 55 Eagle Street in downtown Albany, New York.

Guests will enjoy free parking at the nearby Times Union Center garage, 100 Beaver Street, which is connected to the Albany Capital Center via an all-new enclosed walkway. Guests can access the walkway on the fifth floor of the parking garage.

Tickets are now on sale at www.northeastskishow.com and include, for the first time, a three-day value pass good for admission each day of the show.

The first 500 guests each day will receive free lift tickets with their paid admission to the show. Guests on Friday will receive two-for-one lift tickets to select Vermont mountain resorts including Bolton Valley, Bromley, Magic, Mount Snow, Smugglers’ Notch and Stratton. Visitors on both Saturday and Sunday will receive free lift tickets to select New York mountains, courtesy of I Ski NY, including Catamount, Gore Mountain, Oak Mountain, West Mountain, Whiteface, and Windham Mountain Resort. The Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase will also feature the return of the highly popular craft beer garden, including 12 local and regional breweries, wine selections from Saratoga Winery and Heron Hill, and live musical performances. The craft beer garden will be open Friday evening from 4 to 8 p.m., Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

Live musical performances will accompany the operation of the Craft Beer Garden all three days of the event. On Friday, ski industry favorites Annie in the Water Looping-Acoustic-Set will feature their groove-infused combination of rock, reggae and funk, woven together in a jam-style performance. Local acoustic guitarist James Rissacher will showcase a mix of rock, blues and jazz sets on Saturday. Soul Session lead singer Garland Nelson will entertain the crowd on Sunday afternoon.

The Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase will transform the second floor of the state-of-the-art Albany Capital Center into a winter sports showcase. Industry leading retailer Alpin Haus will offer skiers and snowboarders early season savings on gear and equipment from K2; Atomic; LINE; Blizzard, Tecnica; and Nordica featuring the Navigator 85, a new lightweight, performance designed ski. Visitors can also take advantage of great deals on winter apparel, including clothing and accessories from North Face; Under Armour; Patagonia; Karbon; Obermeyer; Roxy; Spyder; Hunter and UGG.

Guests will also be able to shop for gear, equipment and apparel from Potter Brothers Ski & Snowboard Shops, Steiner’s Sports, and other leading exhibitors.

Representatives from the finest mountain resorts in New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine will be on hand to highlight off-season upgrades and to offer special resort and travel packages as well as deals on lift tickets. Guests can also enter to win spectacular prize packages from Jackson Hole and Mad River Glen.

An all-new attraction for this year, U.S. Resort Management will present the Ultimate Freestyle Show, an indoor ski and snowboard rail exhibition featuring semi-pro athletes performing acrobatic tricks as they glide down an indoor rail slope. DJ-CYN, Colorado’s hottest DJ, will entertain visitors while organizers offer product and demo giveaways.

The next generation of winter sports fans will enjoy the Hannaford Family Fun Zone on Sunday, November 5, featuring a variety of free activities for children, including face painting, a balloon artist and a special visit from Santa. Activities will be available from noon to 4 p.m.

Kids can also visit the I Ski NY booth to sign up for the ISKINY Free for Kids Passport Program. All children in third and fourth grades will ski or ride free with their passport at most New York mountain resorts when accompanied by a paying adult.

The Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase will take place the same weekend as the Albany Auto Show, which will be held at the nearby Times Union Center. Guests to the Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase will receive a voucher for $2 off admission to the Albany Auto Show which may be accessed via an enclosed walkway.

The Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase is presented by Alpin Haus. Additional event partners include Hannaford Supermarkets, Dunkin’ Donuts, Keeler Mercedes, Marriott TownePlace Suites, and NBT Bank.

Pharmacists from Hannaford Supermarkets will offer flu shots during the event. Marriott TownePlace Suites is the official hotel partner of the Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase.

Advance discount tickets to the Northeast Ski & Craft Beer Showcase are available online at www.northeastskishow.com. Tickets purchased in advance are $10 per day or $25 for all three days. Tickets are $12 at the door. Children 10 and under accompanied by an adult are admitted free. Online ticket sales conclude at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 3.
