HANNAFORD AND LOWELL SPINNERS TO HOST FOOD DRIVE SAT. JULY 20

Fans who bring at least three non-perishable items will receive a free ticket to a future Lowell Spinners home game

LOWELL, MA – Hannaford Supermarkets and the Lowell Spinners will team up to support hunger relief efforts during a food drive at the home game against the Hudson Valley Renegades on Saturday, July 20. The collection will begin when gates open at 4 p.m. The game starts at 5 p.m.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to the Merrimack Valley Food Bank. Fans who donate at least three non-perishable items will receive a voucher redeemable for one ticket to a future Lowell Spinners home game during the 2019 regular season.

“Hannaford is committed to fighting hunger within the communities we serve and we are honored to partner with the Lowell Spinners on this initiative,” said Hannaford Supermarkets Community Relations Specialist Brian Fabre. “We encourage baseball fans to join us for a night of action on the field while supporting the Merrimack Valley Food Bank.”

The Merrimack Valley Food Bank is a community-supported non-profit organization that provides nutritious food and personal care items to emergency feeding programs serving the low-income, homeless and hungry. It is one of four food banks in Massachusetts that serves local food pantries, shelters and meal programs.
