DUNKIN’ DONUTS DONATES 119 POUNDS OF COFFEE TO BACKSTRETCH EMPLOYEE SERVICE TEAM

Coffee is donated based on the annual pledge from Dunkin’ Donuts to provide one pound of coffee for every win by the leading owner, trainer and jockey of the Saratoga meet

SARATOGA, NY; – Dunkin’ Donuts presented more than 100 pounds of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee to the Backstretch Employee Service Team (B.E.S.T.) at Saratoga Race Course on Monday, September 3, closing day of the 2018 racing season.

The coffee donation is based on a pledge from Dunkin’ Donuts to supply B.E.S.T. with one pound of coffee for every win by the leading owner, trainer and jockey during the 2018 Saratoga meet.

Klaravich Stables was the meet’s leading owner with 21 wins. Chad Brown captured the H. Allen Jerkens training title, breaking his own Saratoga record for wins with 46 victories. Jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. clinched his second Angel Cordero, Jr. riding title with 52 wins.

“Dunkin’ Donuts is proud to support the Backstretch Employee Service Team as they continue to assist the men and women who care for the horses and support Saratoga Race Course throughout the entire season,” said Dunkin’ Donuts Integrated Marketing Manager Eric Stensland. “Dunkin’ Donuts is dedicated to helping all of our partners and guests and we hope this donation provides support to B.E.S.T. and the numerous families they assist throughout the season.”

In addition to the coffee donation, Dunkin’ Donuts also served as the sponsor of the early and late Daily Double at Saratoga Race Course during the 2018 season.
