Great Northeast Home Show Partners with Capital District Habitat for Humanity

SEFCU sponsors $50 Visa gift card giveaway Friday night

ALBANY, N.Y. – The Great Northeast Home Show, presented by the Times Union, is partnering with the Capital District Habitat for Humanity to collect donations to build “The Home Show Habitat House” for a local family. Additionally, every hour during the first evening of the show, Friday night, a $50 Visa gift card will be given away courtesy of SEFCU.

The local Habitat for Humanity is hoping to raise $25,000 over the show weekend to build a house to be sold – at no profit and with a zero-interest mortgage – to a local, qualified family in need. Donations will be accepted in both the Times Union Center and the Empire State Plaza. Donors who give $5 or more will have the opportunity to sign a 2×4 that will be used in the construction of the house, and donors who contribute $10 or more will be entered in a drawing to win an Apple iPad2.
