Warren Miller “Children of the Winter”

Warren Miller’s 59th feature film, “Children of the Winter”, is the world’s largest action sports film. Shot in high definition, the film begins in Colorado and spans the globe including footage shot in Japan, Austria, British Columbia, Alaska and Iceland. The soundtrack includes Radio Head, Michael Franti and Spearhead and Beck with the usual ensemble of world-class athletes like Jonny Mosely, Daron Rahlves, Gerry Lopez and Wendy Fisher.

Ultimate Snow Package

Visitors can enter to win the Ultimate Snow Package at the show. Package includes Fischer CXT 200 skis w/ system binding and master pole or Axis Soar Snowboard with Axis boot and binding, courtesy of Alpin Haus and a ski & stay package for 2 people including 2 night stay and lift tickets for 2 days, courtesy of Pico Mountain. The winner will be announced at the Expo on Sunday at 4:00 pm. The winner need not be present.

Daily Fashion Shows by the NY Capital District Ski Council and Alpin Haus

NYCDSC is a non-profit association comprised of cross-country, snowboard and alpine ski clubs for individuals and families in the Capital District. The NYCDSC will take over the stage each day with Fashion Shows, displaying the newest in ski and snowboard apparel, courtesy of Alpin Haus. They will also have some great raffle prizes.

SSCAlbany Swap Shop

SSCAlbany will sponsor a used equipment sale, which has become one of the group’s signature events. Attendees wishing to sell their used winter sports equipment can bring it to the show, where the SSCA will, in turn, offer the items to the general public on a consignment and commission basis.

Out of Control Ski Club Workshops

The Out of Control Ski Club will be conducting workshops throughout the weekend to offer guidance on the proper selection of skis, boots, googles, helmets and other items based on skill level and personal preference.
