ALBANY, N.Y., October 15, 2009 – Hannaford Supermarkets will welcome the return of the nation’s longest-running consumer snow and travel show when advance tickets to the 48th annual Ski & Snowboard expo go on sale exclusively at Hannaford store locations on Sunday, October 18.
Hannaford shoppers will receive the opportunity to purchase advance tickets at a special discount for the Ski & Snowboard expo, which will return to the Capital Region on Friday, November 6 through Sunday, November 8 at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center in Albany.
Advance tickets are $6 for adults, a two dollar savings off the regular admission price. (Children’s tickets are also available in advance at Hannaford stores at the standard price of $4).
Advance discount tickets will be available at the customer service desks of Hannaford locations throughout the Greater Capital Region, Hudson Valley, and at select Vermont stores, including Bennington, Brattleboro and Rutland.
Additionally, Dunkin’ Donuts will warm up the slopes by offering sports enthusiasts some extra fuel to get them through the winter season with a special giveaway when the expo opens its doors on Friday, November 6.
The first 500 paid admissions will receive a mystery gift card to Dunkin’ Donuts. The gift cards will be worth anywhere from $2 to $100 and may be redeemed for coffee, baked goods, and a variety of other products, including special fall flavor menu items, at any participating Dunkin’ Donuts location.
As previously announced, this year’s expo will also include the return of “Free Lift Ticket Sunday.”
On Sunday, November 8, the first 500 paid admissions through the door will each receive a free lift ticket to Mount Snow in West Dover, Vermont (some restrictions may apply). With lift tickets for Mount Snow valued at more than $70 each, guests will receive nine times the return on the price of admission.
Presented by Alpin Haus, the Ski & Snowboard expo will feature more than 100 exhibitor booths offering a comprehensive look at the newest in winter sporting equipment, fashion and travel in a convenient, one-stop browsing and shopping environment.

The three-day event will include free prizes and merchandise, as well as interactive, family-friendly activities, such as a mobile skate park and Wii Skiing. With each ticket purchase, customers at the expo will receive a coupon book worth hundreds of dollars in discounts on winter ski apparel and equipment and on lift tickets to several ski resorts (while supplies last).
