From the North: Clifton Park, Saratoga, Glens Falls, Plattsburgh, etc.

  1. Take I-87 South (The Northway) to Exit 7.
  2. Merge into NY-7 East toward Troy/Cohoes.
  3. Merge onto I-787 South toward Albany and follow this road approximately 7.5 miles.
  4. Take Exit 3 for the Empire State Plaza.

From the South: NYC, Poughkeepsie, Hudson, Long Island, etc.

  1. Take I-87 North (NY State Thruway) to Exit 23.
  2. Merge onto I-787 North toward downtown Albany/Rensselaer/Troy.
  3. Take Exit 3A for the Empire State Plaza.

From the West: Schenectady, Amsterdam, Binghamton, Buffalo, etc.

  1. Take I-90 East (NY State Thruway) to Exit 24 (Albany).
  2. Continue on I-90 East to I-787.
  3. Merge onto I-787 South toward Albany/Rensselaer.
  4. Take Exit 3 for the Empire State Plaza.

From the East: Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut, etc.

  1. Take I-90 West (Mass Turnpike) to the Albany exit.
  2. Continue on I-90 West to I-787.
  3. Merge onto I-787 South toward Albany/Rensselaer.
  4. Take Exit 3 for the Empire State Plaza.

The Empire State Plaza is a 70-acre complex of governmental buildings in downtown Albany, New York. Adjacent to the historic State Capitol, the Plaza is home to over 10,000 State employees and many State agencies and commissions. Additionally, the Empire State Plaza Convention Center, New York State Museum, Empire Center at the Egg, and nearby Times-Union Arena are frequent venues for public activities such as the Ski & Snowboard Expo, Outdoor Show, and the Home Show.
