TULLY RINCKEY AND HANNAFORD TO PROVIDE FREE TURKEYS TO VETERANS THIS THANKSGIVING

10th annual “Turkeys for Veterans” event to be held at new location

November – Albany, N.Y. – Tully Rinckey PLLC and Hannaford Supermarkets today announced a continued partnership to once again provide free turkeys to local active duty and retired military personnel this Thanksgiving during the 10th annual Turkeys for Veterans program on Tuesday, November 20 from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m.

This year’s event will for the first time be held at the Barn Gathering Room at The Crossings in Colonie, N.Y., where officials from Tully Rinckey PLLC and Hannaford will hand deliver approximately 3,000 pounds of turkey to military personnel and veterans. (Turkeys will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis with proof of military ID. Limit one turkey per person.)

This Thanksgiving marks a milestone anniversary for the program, which was launched by Tully Rinckey PLLC in 2009 before forming a partnership with Hannaford in 2012. Over the past decade, the program has provided the Thanksgiving centerpiece for the families of approximately 1,500 active duty and retired military personnel in the greater Capital Region.

“As we give thanks for our own good fortune this holiday, we can’t help but to reflect upon the great sacrifices made by the men and women who have stood up to defend our country. The Turkeys for Veterans program has become a tradition that we look forward to all year and is our way of thanking veterans and their families who support them,” said Tully Rinckey PLLC Founding Partner and U.S. Army veteran Greg T. Rinckey.

“Hannaford is pleased to continue this partnership with Tully Rinckey as we celebrate the tenth edition of the program. It has been our privilege to provide so many local military members and veterans with the key traditional ingredient to creating a fresh and delicious holiday feast,” said Hannaford Supermarkets Community Relations Specialist Brian Fabre. “We thank those who dedicate their lives to serving our country and look forward to creating a special holiday moment for them and their families.”
