Lake Monsters to host “Hannaford Helps Night” to benefit the Vermont Foodbank

Fans who bring three non-perishable food items to the game on July 29 will receive a free game ticket voucher

BURLINGTON, Vt. – Hannaford Supermarkets and the Vermont Lake Monsters will team up to support hunger relief efforts during “Hannaford Helps Night” at the home game against the Batavia Muckdogs on Sunday, July 29.

Fans attending the game are encouraged to bring a non-perishable food item, which will be donated to the Vermont Foodbank. The collection will take place at the Hannaford table located inside the front gate on the main concourse.

Fans who donate at least three non-perishable items will receive one ticket voucher redeemable for a future Lake Monsters home game during the 2018 season. The voucher may be redeemed at the Centennial Field box office.

“Hannaford is committed to fighting hunger within the communities we serve and we are honored to partner with the Lake Monsters on this initiative,” said Hannaford Supermarkets Community Relations Specialist Brian Fabre. “We encourage baseball fans to join us for a night of action on the field while supporting the Vermont Foodbank.”

“The Lake Monsters once again look forward to another successful partnership with Hannaford Supermarkets to benefit the Vermont Foodbank,” said Vermont Lake Monsters Assistant General Manager Adam Matth. “As an organization we strive to provide an exciting ballpark experience while also using our platform throughout the summer to bring the community together and help give back to those in need.”
