CENTRAL NEW YORK; – Dunkin’ Donuts today announced it will partner with Make-A-Wish® Central New York for the fourth year to celebrate World Wish Day, the day the organization was founded, and to help make the wishes of local children come true.

From Friday, April 29 through Saturday, May 7, guests who contribute $1 to Make-A-Wish Central New York at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Central New York, Northern New York (Watertown), and the Mohawk Valley (Utica), will receive a Make-A-Wish Star Donut. All donations will benefit Make-A-Wish Central New York. Over the past three years, the campaign has raised more than $150,000 for the local chapter.

“Dunkin’ Donuts is honored to support Make-A-Wish Central New York, which works tirelessly to help make the wishes of local children come true,” said Eric Stensland, field marketing manager for Dunkin’ Brands. “I encourage residents of Central and Northern New York and the Mohawk Valley to enjoy a special treat while supporting an organization that is so important to our community.”

The star-shaped specialty donut, which is topped with blue and white icing in honor of Make-A-Wish, will be available at participating Dunkin’ Donuts restaurants in Central New York, Northern New York, and the Mohawk Valley beginning on April 29, World Wish Day.

Incorporated in 1985, Make-A-Wish Central New York is a nonprofit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to granting special wishes to children between the ages of 2½ and 18 who are living with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Make-A-Wish Central New York has granted nearly 1,500 wishes since its inception. Make-A-Wish® continues to “bring the magic of a wish” to special Central New York kids because of the generous support of the Central New York community throughout the 15-county region it serves. The counties being served are: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Oswego, Otsego, St. Lawrence, Tioga and Tompkins.
