David Filkins spearheads effective and innovative communication tactics for the firm’s diverse list of clients, including the company’s special events and trade shows.
David is a skilled writer and communicator who draws on his public relations and journalism experience to craft messages for a variety of clients, including Citizens Bank and Dunkin’ Donuts in Central New York and the Capital Region. He manages all aspects of a media relations campaign from concept and positioning to writing and story pitching.
Prior to joining ELA in January 2011, David served as the business development writer for Tully Rinckey PLLC, one of the Capital Region’s leading full-service law firms. He produced marketing content for the firm and wrote articles and columns for local, state and national publications. David previously worked for the Times Union, where he won multiple state and national awards as a sports and local news reporter.
David graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from the University at Albany, where he minored in journalism.
Outside the office, David is an avid fisherman and enjoys spending time with his children, David and Daisy.
